Biography

As an advocate for creativity and accessibility, Kim believes that art is for everyone.

Kim is an independant curator aims to transform art spaces as sites of collaboration and shared experiences. Her curatorial interests include installation and new media, digital art, and sociocultural theories with an emphasis on serving overlooked communities. She is also the artist coordinator of Third Space DFW (TSDFW), an LGBTQIA+ non-profit that creates platforms for queer artists. TSDFW was a recipient of the 2020 Nasher Sculpture Center’s Artist Grant award. Prior to this, she was a curatorial intern for Dallas Museum of Art’s contemporary art department. Here, she wrote and developed gallery materials for the exhibition, Slip Zone: A New Look at Postwar Art in the Americas and East Asia (2021). In addition to her work as a curator, she has done commercial art consulting for both private clients and corporate organizations. In 2021, she earned her Master of Arts in Art History from Texas Christian University. She splits her time in between Dallas-Fort Worth and San Diego.
